Don't think of playing a keyboard instrument as being a daunting task. I will teach you the initial approach to getting familiar with the piano or keyboard. All the techniques I have learned over the years will be transfered over a few weeks and you will start to see things come together making the learning process really interesting and enjoyable. Here are a couple of starting points;..
1. Getting to know the keys. Each note has a pitch, and is repeated further up the keyboard, so really all you need to identify are 12 notes, as they are repeated at every octave
2. Scales... these are groups of notes "built up" in a constructive way and are the building blocks of creating a musical piece.
3. Chords.. The chord is a block of notes played together, they give "body and depth" to the music that you will play.
These are just a few of the topics that you will learn..
Finally, think about why you are looking g at this page, and remember this.... "You're never to old to learn an instrument" , take care...
